フラットセルは大面積コーティングされた或はベアメタルサンプルの電解液中に腐食性質を調べるため、デザイされました。PVP材質のホルダーはガラスセルの上部に固定され、オーリングと3つのナットで、底部を固定し、液漏れを防止します。サンプルの直径58mm〜85mmで、電解液と接触面積は16.9 cm2です。ステンレス-スチールカウンター電極と銀塩化銀参照電極が付きます。
　　The flat cell has been designed to measure corrosion properties of large flat coated or bare metal samples immersed in an electrolyte solution. It consists of a glass vessel fitted on a PVC holder, leakage of electrolyte is prevented by the use of a Viton O-ring and three wing nuts. The exposed surface area of the sample is 16.9 cm2. The flat cell is supplied with a large area stainless steel counter electrode and Ag/AgCl reference electrode.
